Veteran Affairs (VA)

It is not uncommon for veterans to struggle with personal problems as a result of their military experiences. Many of the veterans we have helped over the years have dealt with nightmares, flashbacks, anger, depressed mood, social anxiety, relationship difficulties, substance abuse, and chronic pain.

As a veteran, you do not need to suffer through these problems alone. A psychologist or trained clinician can help you to: find relief from your most upsetting symptoms, stabilize your mood, build your sense of safety, expand your emotional coping skills, and process your traumatic events. We can also help you to adjust to civilian life, which includes your relationships with friends, family, and co-workers.

We are familiar with the Veteran's Affairs procedures and the necessary steps when helping a veteran access assessment and treatment services.  Our staff are registered with the Blue Cross to provide services to veterans.  An initial assessment is often followed by weekly or biweekly sessions and this can include sessions for individuals, couples and families.
